Musings

Welcome to my blog

A blog for my musings, adventures, creations, and all strange intrigues which develop from my musing mind.

So the next event coming up will be the 7th July, Cradley Heath, West Midlands High Street.

Celebrating the rights for the Womens Chain Makers and the largest celebration of Women's Trade Unionism in the UK. Has been a fantastic event in past years with a small fair for the children, live music, lots of sellers / stalls - including mine and my sister Paper Flamingo by Kelly-Anne Adams-Fielding (Cards, Gift Wrap and Notelets etc), street theatre, debates andloads more.

There is usually a March (In Victorian Costume), a speech based on the life of Mary Macarthur, lots of trade Union Stalls, and generally a celebration for the local area of the place of the 1910 dispute for Womens Rights.

I'll be mostly doing Henna and Glitter Tattoo's, with a few bits of my jewellery and accessories available.

So come and join us for some fun xxx

More information on the event can be found here:

I am merging my old company 'fairyfaydesigns Henna, Glitter and Face Painting' with my new company 'The Moustache and the Muse'.

They both lend themselves to go hand in hand...The Moustache and the Muse is inspired in may ways... I'm branching into steampunk more heavily which is inspired by the Victorians, the Victorian period lends itself well also to gothic / horror, victorians were heavily influenced by eastern / indian adornment and embellishments, which is where Henna comes from as well as macabre - death portraits etc linking to my skulls, so there is definitely a common theme running through the influences for our creativity.

It will be more manageable for me to have one trading name. One set of sites to update and a name that reflects me and Michael, which is more creative and gives us the opportunity to unleash all of our creativity in one place... so watch out world, the Moustance and the Muse is here to stay. I will keep my fairyfaydesigns website going just a little longer whilst the swop over occurs. Love to you all and thank you for all your support.

Fairyfay aka the muse in this relationship....although I'd look good with a moustache lol.

Welcome World Wide Webfriends...thank you for finding my site and my blog. I hope here to help Inspire, Intrigue and illuminate you all with my musings. There may be creativity, embellishment, craziness, experiments all devoted to my passion of Textiles, Art, Painting, Henna, Craft, Travel, being a Crazy Cat Lady and Loving my Moustached Man. There may also be a journey like going down the rabbit hole, where even I'm not sure where the path will lead, and for that I apologise in advance lol. So let me map the journey for you as the traveller and I hope you enjoy the voyage.
